Seeking Executive Director

Elsie K. Powell House is the retreat and conference center of the New York Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). Offering innovative and reflective programming for youth and adults, we strive to foster spiritual growth and nurture transformative ways of being in the world, guided by Quaker values.

As Powell House moves into our next phase, we seek an Executive Director to help guide and realize our vision for the future with creative, expanded programming and extended outreach to Quaker communities and beyond.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience and a desire to move into an Executive Director position. Proven personal achievement in a non-profit environment is preferred.

We are seeking a candidate who is spiritually grounded and enthusiastic about an opportunity to effect change. Ideally, you have a skill set that includes program planning and management, communications and marketing, financial administration, fundraising, people management, and facilities management. We welcome applications from couples with complementary qualifications.

The successful candidate will receive a compensation package valued at over $120,000, including cash compensation ranging from $40,000-$50,000 commensurate with experience, a standalone 1200 sq. ft. 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom house (utilities included), a 403(b) retirement savings plan with employer match, healthcare benefits, paid vacation, and occasional provided meals.
