February 17-19, 2019

Color truly is in the eyes, or brain, of the one looking. We’ll play with color and its effects in many ways.

Do we see the same colors? Does color affect our taste? Our emotions?

What colors can we find outside in the middle of winter?

How can we use colors to express our thoughts and feelings?

Bring something colorful that makes you happy or content.

Be ready for cold wet weather - but let us hope we get either sunshine and warmth OR piles of fluffy snow. Bring coats, hats, gloves and boots that can get muddy and warm slippers or socks for indoors.

Bring your curiosity and your kindness too. And a book and a flashlight for bedtime.

PLEASE ARRIVE ON FRIDAY BETWEEN 6:15 – 7:00 PM.

DINNER WILL BE AT 7:15 PM ON FRIDAY.

THE CONFERENCE WILL END AT 1:15 PM ON SUNDAY.

We have one person each from the North, West, South and East on the carpool list currently. We’re hoping to get more folks signed up!

If you need to CANCEL for this conference, PLEASE call us immediately.

If you have a contagious illness, PLEASE STAY HOME. Powell House is not fun when you are sick. We will either return or forward your deposit to the next conference. Just let us know as soon as you know. We’ll look forward to seeing you next time.

What is Spiritual Direction? Anne Pomeroy (Spiritual Director) offers this response: “Spiritual direction is a one-on-one session for the individual to intentionally explore issues around their spiritual journey, faithfulness and their relationship with Spirit.

Anne offers these queries to consider:

  • Do world events get you considering your faith and what is asked of you as a Quaker?
  • Are you seeking to deepen your faithfulness or your experience of worship?
  • Do you have a yearning or sense that there is more to being a Quaker that you would like to explore?
  • Or simply, ‘Yo! God, what is going on?’

If your curiosity or Inner Light is inspired by these queries then spiritual direction may be a tool for your spiritual journey. Schedule a session – try it out!

Sliding scale fee. To schedule an appointment or for questions contact Anne directly at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Anne brings a deep grounding as a Quaker, as a lover of life, and a commitment to making the spiritual journey accessible to all.
